Who’s Image?

Who’s Image?
Matthew 22:20 (NKJV)

And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?”

More that 40% of Australians between the ages of 26 and 40 have a tattoo. However, many people come to regret their tattoo’s, and that has spawned a new and thriving business, called tattoo removal.

But some things cannot be reversed. one day the dreaded “mark of the beast” will be stamped on the foreheads hands of those worshipping the anti christ, and no laser will be able to remove it. How much better to have the image of Christ stamped on our hearts.

Who’s Image?

As Christians, we’re to be comforted to the image of God’s Son (Romans 8:29) For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

We’re to bear the image of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:49) And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear[a] the image of the heavenly Man.

As we behold the glory of the Lord, we’re transformed into His image from glory to glory by the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18) But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Who’s Image?

Jesus taught a lesson once by observing the image of a coin (Matthew 22:19-22)

Show Me the tax money.” So they brought Him a denarius. And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They said to Him, “Caesar’s.” And He said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” When they had heard these words, they marveled, and left Him and went their way.

In the same way, our worth is determined by who’s image is stamped on our lives.
