Cause For Celebration
Let us rejoice and shout for joy! Let us give Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb has come [at last] and His bride (the redeemed) has prepared herself.” Revelation 19:7 (AMP)
If you look closely at the word, celebrate, you will notice within it there is the root of another familiar word; celebrity. Both have their origins in the latin word for “famous”. Not every celebrity is famous for the best of reasons, but there is a Person who is, and He will be celebrated for all eternity.
Revelation 19 describes the vision seen by the apostle John. The marriage supper of the Lamb and the return of Jesus Christ to earth as King of kings and Lord of lords. And the celebration of praise John heard for the Lamb was like ” the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings” (verse 6)
There will be no paparazzi or social media “influencers” in heaven with their camera, only the bride of Christ, the church, “arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright,” praising the Lamb of God for making her righteous, washed clean by His shed blood (verse 8)
If you want to be part of that celebration, you must be ready for the Rapture, when Christ gathers His bride to Himself and takes her to heaven.
It’s a celebration you don’t want to miss.
I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer. There’s nothing that’s too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
