Your Part in Prophetic Evangelism

Your Part in Prophetic Evangelism

Prophecy about the end time church say's we are to be a prophetic people.

‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

Acts 2:17

That means everyone should be moving in the gift of prophecy in some capacity. More so in Prophetic Evangelism. If you are like me, you don't find evangelism very easy, but what I do find much, much easier is Prophetic Evangelism.

What is the Gift of Prophecy?

The gift of prophecy is a spiritual gift bestowed by the Holy Spirit, enabling individuals to receive and communicate messages from God. This gift is primarily intended for the edification, exhortation, and comfort.

But he who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, encouragement, and comfort.

1 Corinthians 14:3

Prophecy serves as a means through which God reveals His will, guidance, and sometimes future events to His people. One gift we are encouraged to use more, is prophecy.

I wish that all of you could speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets so that the church may be edified.

1 Corinthians 14:5

What is Evangelism?

Evangelism refers to the intentional proclamation of the good news that God has provided salvation through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In Scripture, this calling appears clearly when Jesus commissions His followers.

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature"

Mark 16:15

At its heart, biblical evangelism aims to declare that humanity, having been created by, fell into sin, and can only be reconciled to God by faith in Christ’s atoning work.

Prophetic evangelism encompasses any God given gift that are inherit to you (art, music, science, math etc). God will use what you are both naturally good at, and the gift of prophecy.

One of the most common places the Lord uses me in prophetic evangelism is in cafe's. In the past, the Lord has ask me to specifically go to a certain cafe, when I was not intending to go to one at all. I ask the lord, "what do you want me to do?". He then gave me two words to speak to two different people. The thing about prophetic words, you don't "need" to give them directly to the person. In this case, the Lord speak "speak over their life". I did this as I sat there, not directly to the person, but in the spirit.

Another time I was with a friend and he ask me "who is the Lord highlighting to you" I said "this person" and he confirmed the same. I started prophesying over their life, as if I was speaking to my friend in a conversation. As soon as I had finished, that person came over to our table to clear the dishes. My friend then spoke into their life directly.

Just two weeks ago, I was in Denpasar International Airport with another friend. We decided to have a hot drink at a cafe and after some looking around I picked one. The Lord highlighted a waitress to me, I ask "what do you want me to do?". The Lord showed me He had assigned two angels over her, and I was to let her know. She came to our table to clear the cups, and I stood up and said the following.

"Do you know Jesus loves you, I know this because He has given you two angels to watch over you in times of trouble. All you need to do is call on the name of Jesus and these two angels will help you".

She responded "can you see?" as in, in the spirit. I said 'yes", She then said "thank you, thank you".

I don't know what was happening in her life, but she needed to know this. Her response was very positive, and after this she kept on looking at us. That small exchange of words (from the Lord) changed her outlook on life. That was all she needed right then.

This is Prophetic Evangelism, and you can do it too. There are other ways you can use this, this is just how the Lord works with me. The Lord uses my spiritual eyesight to for His purposes.

What natural or spiritual gifts do you have? Give them to the Lord for His kingdom, when you do, you change the world around you. Not only the people you minister to, but you change in the same moment. You are being like Jesus.

So Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing by Himself, unless He sees the Father doing it. For whatever the Father does, the Son also does.

John 5:19

Whatever Jesus does, we do also. We heal the sick when He tells us to, we play the song He gives us, we paint the picture He wants painted, we speak the words He wants us to. It is not hard when we give ourselves to Him. All we need is a little faith, if you don't have faith, ask for it.

Immediately the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe; help my unbelief!”

Mark 9:24

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

Luke 17:5

One of the Gifts of the Spirit, is Faith. Start exercising the Gift of Faith (1 Corinthians 12:7) in Prophetic Evangelism. When you see the Lord moving through you, touching people's lives, your faith increases. It is like a faith feedback loop, but you have to start it.

How do we start?

Praying in the Spirit. Before you go anywhere spend time praying in the Spirit. Building up you inner man, ready to be called for action, to push back the darkness and change peoples' lives.

You can do it! Just believe, prepare and go into the harvest field.
