We are energised by love

We are energised by love

There is no better example of loving service than what we see in a mother. It is a great sacrifice a mother makes for her children when they’re feeling sick, or struggling with something in their life. The apostle Paul served with that kind of love! In his letter to the Christians in Thessalonica, he wrote, But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children. So, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us. (1 Thessalonians 2:7-8 NKJV). Is your service energised by love? Do you show love to those who you serve? Ask God to assist you when you find it difficult, confess that your love is more often than not shallow or weak, and ask that you can show the same love He shows you to others today, especially those who feel rejected and alone.

I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer. There’s nothing that’s too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
