Use Your Time Well

Use Your Time Well

The sooner we realise life is a vapour, the more likely we are to make sure we are using our time well.

14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” (James 4:14-15 NKJV).

This doesn’t mean we can’t use our time to have some fun or relax.

It means making sure we have our priorities in order, at the top of this list should be our spiritual health, because our spiritual health affects everything else we do. When things are right between you and God, and you are spending time in His Word you can align the rest of your priorities properly, these can include caring for your family, managing your finances wisely, maintaining your health, doing your best at work, and serving others in your church and community.

When you have taken care of these priorities, you can be confident you are using your time well.

Ask your self do your priorities bring glory to God? Are you doing your best to bring Heaven to Earth? If not seek God for assistance and ask Him to help make the most of your short time on earth.

I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer. There’s nothing that’s too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
