THE CHURCH RISING IN UNITY

A PROPHETIC CALL TO STAND TOGETHER

Australia is facing an hour when the Body of Christ can no longer afford the luxury of division. The spiritual challenges before our nation are too serious for churches, ministries and believers to remain separated by pride, preference, personality or tradition.

UNITY IS A KINGDOM PRIORITY

Jesus prayed that His people would be one. Biblical unity does not mean abandoning truth or pretending doctrine does not matter. It means standing together under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, submitted to the authority of Scripture and led by the Holy Spirit.

A DIVIDED CHURCH CANNOT HEAL A DIVIDED NATION

Families, communities and generations across Australia are increasingly divided. Politics divides, culture divides and fear divides. Yet the Church has been called to demonstrate another Kingdom — a people from different backgrounds, generations and traditions becoming one through Jesus Christ.

Unity is not uniformity. Every church does not need to look the same and every ministry does not carry the same assignment. The Body has many members, but we have one Head. Our diversity should strengthen the mission rather than fracture the Church.

UNITY BEGINS WITH REPENTANCE

We cannot organise our way into revival. Before asking God to change Australia, we must allow Him to search His Church. We must repent of pride, jealousy, competition, unforgiveness, suspicion and the building of personal kingdoms rather than advancing God’s Kingdom.

We often want God to begin with Parliament. God begins with His people. We want national transformation; God calls for humility, prayer and repentance. The Church cannot call Australia to return to God while refusing to examine its own heart.

THE WATCHMEN MUST STAND TOGETHER

This is an hour for pastors to pray for pastors, churches to bless churches and intercessors to find one another. Not every disagreement requires division. Not every difference demands separation. Australia needs a Church that will watch, pray, discern and stand together.

WHAT COULD GOD DO WITH A UNITED CHURCH?

Imagine churches across Australia praying for one another rather than competing with one another. Imagine pastors blessing other pastors. Imagine older believers standing beside young adults. Imagine Christians from every cultural background crying out together for our nation.

Imagine prayer meetings where nobody is concerned about whose name is on the banner because Jesus is the only name that matters. Imagine churches sharing resources to reach communities, serve families and proclaim the Gospel.

UNITY DOES NOT MEAN COMPROMISE

Unity must never become an excuse for silence. There are times when the Church must speak, defend truth and stand courageously. Paul tells us to speak the truth in love. Truth without love can become harsh; love without truth becomes compromise.

Our unity must be centred on Christ and grounded in Scripture. Let us stand together — not around personalities or institutions, but around Jesus Christ and His Gospel.

THE ENEMY UNDERSTANDS THE POWER OF DIVISION

Jesus warned that every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. Division weakens, distracts and consumes energy that should be directed towards the mission of God. When churches compete rather than cooperate, the Kingdom suffers. The enemy does not need to destroy a Church that is permanently fighting itself; he simply needs to keep it distracted.

UNITY DOES NOT MEAN SILENCE

There are battles worth fighting. We must contend for biblical truth, defend the Gospel and stand for righteousness. But we must distinguish between biblical conviction and personal preference. Truth without love becomes harsh; love without truth becomes compromise. The Church needs both.

REVIVAL BEGINS ON OUR KNEES

Revival comes when God’s people become desperate for God; when prayer becomes more important than reputation, holiness more important than popularity and obedience more important than comfort.

A CALL TO THE AUSTRALIAN CHURCH

Let old divisions be healed. Let pastors pray for pastors. Let churches pray across denominational boundaries. Let intercessors stand together. Let the cry rise from every state and territory: Lord, revive Australia again.

One Lord. One faith. One Body. One mission. One Gospel.

THIS MONTH: NATIONAL REPENTANCE & REVIVAL

Australia’s deepest need is spiritual. Before we ask God to change our nation, we must allow Him to search His Church. True revival restores the fear of the Lord, awakens prayer, brings conviction of sin, renews holiness and turns hearts back to Jesus Christ.

• Pray for genuine repentance in the Church — 2 Chronicles 7:14

• Pray for unity among Christian leaders — John 17:20–23

• Pray for healing of offences and division — Ephesians 4:31–32

• Pray for a renewed hunger for prayer — Isaiah 56:7

• Pray for courage to stand on biblical truth — Ephesians 6:13

• Pray for families and the next generation — Malachi 4:6

• Pray for churches to bless and serve one another — Philippians 2:3–4

• Pray for intercessors to stand in the gap — Ezekiel 22:30

• Pray for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit — Acts 2:17

• Pray for national repentance and revival — Psalm 85:6

PRAYER FOCUS

Unity in the Body of Christ and a turning of hearts back to God. Pray for repentance, reconciliation, humility, renewed prayer, healing between churches and leaders, and a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

A PRAYER FOR UNITY & REVIVAL

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We humble ourselves before You and ask You to search our hearts.

Forgive us where pride, competition, offence, jealousy and division have entered Your Church. Cleanse us and restore our first love.

Bring reconciliation across the Body of Christ. Teach us to honour one another, pray for one another and stand together for the Gospel.

Turn the hearts of Australians back to You. Awaken our churches. Strengthen our pastors. Raise up intercessors. Restore families. Protect our children.

Pour out Your Spirit across this Great South Land. May Your Church arise in truth, holiness, courage and unity.

Lord, revive us again.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.
