Patient With All

1 Thessalonians 5:14 (NKJV)

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.

Patient With All

Have you ever had a mosquito bite? If you live in Australia I’m sure you have, so you would have experienced the nagging itch and redness it creates. It’s difficult to focus on anything else because all you can think about is how much you want the scratch the bite.Sometimes the annoying irritation is so bad you just want to let out a scream!

Have you ever felt this way about a person? I have. He or she has crawled under your skin and become a source of irritation. Perhaps it is a family member who continually nags you. Maybe it’s a child who constantly asks you “why?” It may be a friend who has an annoying habit. Or it could be a cashier at a store that is particularly slow.

Can we be Patient With All?

These irritants can become like an itch that won’t go away. We long to react with biting words and explosive tempers, but Got has laid out a better way for us. He wants to apply the soothing ointment of His grace for our interactions with others. The next time a person’s words or actions cause irritation, ask God to help you respond with patience and love.

I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer. There’s nothing that’s too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!

You’re important to God, and you’re important to us at www.faithministries.com.au. When it comes to prayer, we believe that God wants to meet your needs and reveal His promises to you.
