Our Ever-Present Help!

I’m not sure about you but lately I’ve been hearing ‘the world has gone crazy’. Maybe you have said or heard that also. As this is being spoken out so is the question, “is there anything we can do about it?”. There is only One I know who has the answers and I take great comfort in the scripture that says, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains — where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Ps 121: 1-2

We are living in unsettling times and as I pray and ask the Father what is on His mind, what is on His heart I hear Him say, “I Am the restorer of all things therefore rise up, come up into the higher place where you are seated and see things from this perspective because it will reveal what it looks like through My eyes.” Do you feel the Holy Spirit pulling you up, encouraging you to remember who you are, who you belong to? We are clothed in the garments of Jesus Christ and He has given us power and authority over all the earth.

I understand the feeling of frustration, the overwhelming desire to do something to change what is going on. Yet in the midst of the emotion, I hear the Holy Spirit encourage us to stand on the word of TRUTH! Declare what God’s word says, pray and speak as Holy Spirit directs us, for surely what we can’t do in the natural we can do in the spirit. I have come to realise as I go on my prayer walks and see the community around me, I can’t make people change or fix every wrong, but I can shift the spiritual atmosphere with words of life and truth.

Therefore, let us firmly position ourselves to stand strong, to use the authority that Jesus Himself has given us and begin to declare the words of promise, that causes hope to come alive and releases faith and power that moves mountains. “Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].” Hebrews 11:1

Through our words, and prayers we push back the powers of darkness, binding up the assignments of the enemy as he tries to bring destruction, chaos and confusion. Let us not succumb to the lies and evil around us but through our persistent pray, declarations and standing together as one, let us fix our heart and eyes on our Saviour, Jesus Christ, walking in the life, light and love of God.

As we do, we will see His kingdom come over our community, city and nation. In Him we hold the keys, therefore lean in closer, draw nearer, trust and obey in the One who is moved by His word. Watch and see the shift, the change, the establishing of His Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven. Amen!
