Love Conquers Fear

Love Conquers Fear
2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Power, Love, and a sound mind will conquer fear every time, especially when we recognise that the power and the love have their source in the God who resurrected Jesus from the dead and destroyed death forever.

Paul reminds us in 2 Timothy 1 that we can conquer fearing timidity by keeping our focus on the power and love that Jesus Christ has for us. It takes self discipline to overcome fear, but when we step out boldly to serve Him, Disciplining ourselves think sound or wholesome thoughts, we are no longer driven by fear.

As you answer God’s call to serve Him faithfully, discipline your thoughts to remember his strength and His love for you. Focus on the power there is in trusting every part of your life to Him. Then you can say with David, Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. Psalm 27:3 (NKJV)
