Lightning Strike

Matthew 24:27 (NKJV)

27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

More than one hundred lightning strikes hit the earth every second. Thats nearly ten million lightning strikes per day. Lightning is a river of electricity rushing through the air travelling at almost one hundred thousand kilometres per second. A lightning bolt can be sixteen kilometres long and brighter that ten million 100 watt lightbulbs. In the split second the lightning bolt lasts it can generate as much voltage as all of the electrical generation plants in America.

Jesus said that we don’t have to be worried about the exact time of His coming, and we shouldn’t be deceived by those who make false predictions. When He comes, there will be no doubt. As lightning flashing from the east to the west, splitting the sky in a millisecond, so will His coming be.

The next time you see a bolt of lightning cut through the sky, think of to as a reminder that His coming is near.

I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer. There’s nothing that’s too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
