Keep your eyes on the prize

Keep your eyes on the prize

Obedience has its challenges so it is the less travelled path, disobedience on the other hand is a well worn trail. In fact disobedience is crowded and gridlocked, why? Because it’s the easy way out. It’s the road we are tempted to take when things get uncomfortable or hard, it’s the path of least resistance, and unfortunately it’s the path that makes us of no impact.
As we run the race for Jesus we will face hurdles, we will be tripped up, knocked down and or be pressured to compromise God’s standards. This is why Paul says, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬ NIV)
If you keep your eyes on the prize at the finish line, you will have what it takes to overcome life’s challenges. Don’t sneak around the hurdles any longer seeking the path of least resistance, sail over the challenges and take the high road of obedience.

I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer. There’s nothing that’s too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
