28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
Keep The End In Mind
Your doctor tells you, “your going to feel worse before you feel better.” Those aren’t encouraging words when you want to recover quickly from an illness, yet the hope of wellness spurs you on through the recovery process. You must Keep The End In Mind
This Happy prognosis can also be applied as we look at the signs of the end times. Negative financial overtones are predicted as we transition to a new world order. Perhaps we are there now? But for the believer, a downturn in the economy doesn’t in still gloom. Its good news, our redemption draws near!
The final stage of our redemption, initiated at the cross, is inaugurated by the end times, when the church will be ushered into the safety of the Kingdom. Unveiling the signs that would signal His coming, Jesus used a joyful image, “lift up your heads,” to describe how believers should await His return. Should our heads be down cast in gloom? No! Luke 21 tells us “look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
Remember, Keep The End In Mind
I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer. There’s nothing that’s too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
