It really does matter!
Do you sometimes do an act of service then get the feeling it wasn’t a valuable enough contribution and that you could have done more for the person or church? Or the feeling that nobody noticed or cared?
Then feel like a failure and what you did didn’t really matter?
And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, (Colossians 3:23 NKJV).
It really does matter!
From a human viewpoint your labours might be overlooked or not appreciated, from a Divine standpoint, that is never the case. God knows everything you do, and He is the one that will bless and reward you accordingly.
While it is nice to receive recognition and a thank you, these are not the reason to work and serve the Lord.
We serve to please and honour Him. And the joy that comes from serving Him will satisfy you more than any human accolade could, thank Him for all He does for you and your families, especially for the things no one sees and seek His guidance to find opportunities to serve others today and that your reward comes from Him. It really does matter!
I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer. There’s nothing that’s too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
