- THE COMING TRIBULATIONS, BIRTH PANGS WE WILL EXPERIENCE IN THESE END-TIMES
God’s judgments are coming upon the world, the righteous included, in the form of famines, earthquakes, natural calamities, tsunamis, new diseases, wars, cosmic disturbances, etc. Birth pangs, judgments and afflictions we will experience are revealed to us in Matthew 24 which are parallel to those given in Revelation 7-19.
Judgments in these End-times will prepare the hearts of the people for the preaching of the gospel of the Kingdom of God
WHY JUDGMENTS?
- Some of it is sowing and reaping. All the evil that man has sown will be reaped in judgment.
2) Some of it is because of sin that the world and the Church are in; a lot of it is that.
3) So that people will learn righteousness because of the fearful judgments. We need to remember that God’s judgments are redemptive, to save and not to destroy if only men will repent of their wicked ways. So we need to pray that people’s hearts will be touched and enlightened by the Holy Spirit, repent and surrender their lives to God and accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
4) Before a great outpouring can take place, first the land must be sanctified. The land must be pruned, fallowed, made ready for the rains to come. That must take place first. So all these natural calamities that you see in your land, they are in effect cleansing, purifying, sanctifying the land. So don’t pray against them, but just pray for the grace of God to protect the saints of God, for the grace of God to uphold us, for the judgments to be mitigated, lessened. But it is necessary for this to come. They must first come and cleanse the land.
5) The Lord is sending His fires, waters and the shakings to weed out, to separate the wheat from the tares so that only the pure can remain. Both were growing in the same land, the true and the false. For every true preacher, there is a false preacher; true prophet, false prophet; true teachers, false teachers; true pastors, false pastors; true believers, false believers. It all goes like a balance. They all are going at the same time. And OUT OF THE ASHES BEAUTY WILL COME UP, the Great Outpouring of the Holy Spirit for the Final Harvest.
6) The scene is going to be set amidst the terrible judgments to preach the gospel of the kingdom and say, ‘There’s a new world coming.’ To prove this, we’re going to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, do supernatural things and mighty miracles in the Name of the Lord Jesus. Only when we preach the right message, the gospel of the kingdom, will God validate the message with signs following. We need to preach the right message.
We’ve got to give the people, the unsaved hope. People, especially the youth, have disillusionment. The planet is falling apart – in sin, despair, chaos, economic woes, famine, calamities, etc. The world is in a mess. The good news of the gospel of the kingdom must be preached with accompanying signs and wonders. You give people hope, and they will flock to you. We’ve got the message of hope in a world that is becoming more and more hopeless – the hope of a new and stunning world like never we have conceived of. Heaven is real and God wants to bring it to earth.
Judgments revealed in scriptures
In Matthew 24:1-30 (please read), we have the following judgments revealed:
1) DECEPTIONS – false Messiahs and false prophets will come upon this world to deceive many, even the elect
Matthew 24:4 “And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.” Many false prophets will rise and deceive many. (Matthew 24:11) The great theme of events leading up to the Second Coming can be summed up in one word—deception. This is understandable, since it will be Satan’s last chance to defeat the people of God and also, in a sense, to defeat Jesus at the last battle. He is the deceiver; therefore, especially with respect to the Second Coming; he will do all he can to mislead the people of God. The unbelievers are his anyway.
Many will be deceived, even the elect (the matured ones), how much more the younger believers. We need to ask for the Lord’s discernment for this, as well as the covering and guidance of the Church leadership. We need to be in a place in and with God where the deceptions of the enemy cannot prevail upon us, by having hearts dedicated and purified by God. We need to immerse ourselves in reading the Word of God with the spirit of wisdom and revelation upon us. We need to immerse ourselves in prayer and the presence of the Lord by spending lots of time fellowshipping and waiting upon God for His grace, strength, faith and wisdom to be imparted to us.
2) WARS & RUMOURS OF WARS, vs. 7
This is happening in the world right now. We will keep on hearing of wars, meaning the world will not be at rest. The wars can involve the use of nuclear, chemical and biological (deadly viruses) weapons. All these wars will snowball leading to the final great Battle of Armageddon, the battle between the Lord Jesus with His saints, God’s End-times Army on earth and from heaven, against the nations fighting against God and Israel.
3) FAMINES, PESTILENCES, EARTHQUAKES, verse 7-8.
These are now increasing in frequency and intensity as we have been seeing in the news these past few years; none will be spared.
Be prepared for these judgments coming upon the world, the righteous included. But God will take care of His praying and righteous believers, that is the good news. As long as you remain righteous before God (no unconfessed, continuing sins in your life), with clean heart, clean hands and clean minds, His hand will be upon you to protect you from all danger and evil.
• FAMINES – Food will become scarce and very expensive. (Revelation 6:5 And when He had opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, Come and see. And I looked, and lo, a black horse. And he sitting on it had a balance in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures say, A choenix of wheat for a denarius, and three choenixes of barley for a denarius. And do not hurt the oil and the wine.
People will line up for food. But God will provide our bread and water just as He did for the Israelites in the wilderness; He never forsakes. His mercy and goodness will never fail; they will never be removed from us.
• PESTILENCES / NEW KILLER DISEASES – Bird Flu has mutated. There will be strange new diseases manifesting, some from man-made viruses. Epidemics and pandemics will be occurring throughout the world. Millions will die. Pharmacists will not have time to formulate new medicines for these new devastating diseases. Doctors will give up and send the sick people to the churches for prayer for miracle.
Our security can be found only in the blood of the Lord Jesus, in God, if we live righteously, if we dwell in the Secret Place of the Most High communing and praying to God. (Psalm 91:1-3 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall rest under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Jehovah, my refuge and my fortress; my God; in Him I will trust. Surely He will deliver you from the fowler’s trap and from the destroying plague.)
BIG EARTHQUAKES -Globally, there were 18 major earthquakes (magnitude 7.0 and above) in 2025.These are now increasing in frequency and intensity. Romans 8, the whole earth groans in travail. We have seen the devastating big earthquakes in Indonesia, New Zealand, Chile, Japan, etc. We must look at these calamities not in the natural, but in the spirit. The next section will discuss how we can look at all these calamities through God’s eyes, so that we can respond and act appropriately.
TSUNAMIS – Many will faint in fear because of the tossing of the seas.
4) COSMIC DISTURBANCES. (Luke 21:11, Mark 13:25) Signs in the heavens. Comets and meteors can fall upon the earth which can cause massive devastation and tsunamis if they fall on the seas. According to scientists, intense solar flares can affect the electromagnetic fields of the earth causing damage to power grids, resulting in electricity blackouts. As a result of these cosmic rays that will reach the earth, it will cause many changes in the atmosphere. It will affect our telecommunication systems – cell phones, radios, TVs, internet. Sun, moon blackened and reddened due to fallout of NUCLEAR BOMBS.
Mark 13:29 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is near—at the doors!
Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
Stars will fall from the skies, referring to millions of satellites which carry biological and chemical weapons, germs, presently kept in two places: in the skies and under the sea. These can shoot earth when nations battle each other due to increasing wickedness and selfishness.
II. UNDERSTANDING GOD’S MIND ON HIS JUDGMENTS – WHY CALAMITIES?
These past few years the world has been experiencing disastrous and devastating calamities and destruction – earthquakes, tornadoes, big floods, landslides, volcanic eruptions, diseases, where thousands are dying. Two harvests are coming in these end-times – good and evil – both the glory and the judgments of God are coming at the same time. Both Revival and God’s judgment are coming. We cannot accept one and reject the other. God’s judgments are coming; no nation can escape it.
WE CANNOT TOTALLY AVOID THEM BECAUSE GOD IS CLEANSING THE NATIONS OF THEIR EVILS; they will come. Evil times are coming. In many places, the foundations of the nations will be shaken. Nations will be shaken. The dangers that you’ve never heard before concerning waters will now come to pass. The seas and the waves will roar. The earthly foundations will be shaken. Many prominent nations will collapse.
Why Judgments, Calamities?
As intercessors, we need to understand God’s mind regarding His judgments in these End-times reflected in one way through natural disasters and calamities.
1. JUDGMENTS ARE RELEASED BY GOD TO DEAL WITH THE WICKEDNESS AND CLEANSE THE LAND OF HER IDOLS/FALSE GODS, thus renewing and preparing the land for the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus. Each plague that God allowed in Egypt took out one of the gods of the land. God’s judgments affected the followers of these false gods. Presently, the nations of the world have mammon, sex, witchcraft, prostitution, pedophilia, abortion, etc. as their gods. God will have to deal with all of these false gods, including their followers.
2. THESE CALAMITIES CAN SOFTEN UP PEOPLE’S HEARTS FOR THE GOSPEL as we intercede for them during these critical times, that they would see that these are God’s judgments on the sins of the people and that God loves them and is calling them to repentance. When they’ve got no one else to turn to, there is Jesus, there is hope. You see, it is the heart and will of God to save, and not to destroy, to let His mercy triumph over judgment. That is why He is looking for intercessors (Ezekiel 22:30) who will stand in the gap and repent, and plead for mercy and God’s salvation, not only for God’s people, but especially for unbelievers so that they will still have the opportunity to hear the gospel.
As God’s intercessors, we need to daily repent of the sins of the nation. If a praying man will rise up and stand in the gap, those judgments can be minimised/mitigated by God! We must remain steadfast in prayer. We must not backslide in our prayers for the sake of God’s End-time destiny for our nation and for the sake of the Australian people whom God loves so much. The reason why God is showing us of a danger (floods, tsunamis, earthquakes, pandemics, etc.) to come is to let us know that there is a way to escape (or mitigation) from all of it, through our prayers and repentance. We have been warned many times concerning such dangers, and we have been saved only because of our prayers. Therefore let us not forsake or be slack in our prayer! Our churches must conduct all-night prayer meetings! We need to cover our entire nation with prayer.
3. NOT ALL OF THESE CALAMITIES WILL COME FROM THE HAND OF GOD; SOME WILL COME FROM THE ENEMY
Current calamities are to help the nation see the great destiny the Lord is calling Australia to in these End-times, and to respond so that he can make her the jewel in His crown. And the enemy will try hard to hinder this. This will be reflected in powerful natural storms that will try to hit the nation. Australia will be led into the fiercest of spiritual battles with the enemy in various ways – calamities, diseases, curses/spells from covens of witches, attacks on our lives through accidents and other means, oppressions on our soul, the various Illuminati/New World Order machinations.
You see, NOT ALL OF THESE CALAMITIES WILL COME FROM THE HAND OF GOD. Some come from the enemy whose objective is to kill masses of people so that they will not hear the gospel. There are many evil spirits who are very envious, looking over this nation. Satan knows about the great potential and mandate of Australia for God’s kingdom and is trying hard to hinder God’s glorious purposes in Australia through natural disasters. They are desirous of shedding blood in this nation. They are very desirous of bringing upon natural calamities and destructions upon this nation.
WE NEED TO PRAY AND LEARN TO STAND IN AUTHORITY AND COMMAND THESE EVIL WORKS OF THE ENEMY TO BE BROUGHT TO NOTHING. The Lord is calling the intercessors to stand firm and command the storms (and other attacks of the enemy which are not according to God’s will and plan – volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, meteors, lightnings, solar flares, etc.) to turn around and go back, and they will obey your voice for the voice of the Bride is the voice of the Bridegroom. We need to remain steadfast in the Lord and in prayer.
When the nation stands firm in these spiritual battles, and obeys the Lord in all things He seeks from the nation, the storms will have no power over the nation and fizzle out with a whimper. When the nation follows the Lord with a 100% desire to do all that He commands them to do – then even a child will be able to say to the storms be cast out return from where you came and it will obey. Be prepared to follow God and be empowered as His Bride to command the storms to be quiet and they will obey. If we do that, the Lord will not allow these evil works of the enemy to come upon our land. What He will allow will only be His cleansing judgments which are minimised or mitigated as we humble ourselves and pray for His merciful hand upon us.
The resolve of the nation to follow Him completely will be tested. EVERY STORM THAT OVERPOWERS YOU IS AN INDICATION THAT THE NATION HAS NOT YET RESOLVED 100% TO FOLLOW HIM ALONE – in humility, love and obedience to all of God’s expressed will through prophetic words released through His prophets.
WE CAN HAVE OUR OWN GOSHEN just like the Israelites in all of these judgments. The church can live in Goshen, in the shelter of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Place, dwelling in the Secret Place, connected to God of the Most High as we pray and call upon His Name. And only with our eyes can you see these things happening, but they shall not come near you.
