As we all know the Lord directs us and sometimes He redirects us.
When we choose to follow the Lord we must be willing to do the uncomfortable things which means being directed and redirected and our only response is to obey.
You have all heard me say it so many times, “when the Lord speaks, our only response can be yes and amen.”
I’m going to ask Amanda to come join me, and we want to share with you, our Refinery Life church family, and who we dearly love. What the Lord has been speaking to us about.
Please, give us grace, this is going to be challenging.
This Church and both myself have had many prophecies spoken over us in the past 10 years.
Faylene Sparks prophesied in 2021 that I was raising a standard and would be the voice, and speak to mountains and they will be moved. She said that I would decree a thing and it would happen.
And this would see many souls be led from the darkness into the light. And God has put a revelation in me, and this revelation would become a revolution.
I will ride with the horsemen.
She also spoke to Amanda at the same time saying there was a Deborah anointing upon her to decree and speak to the Barak’s. And that she would be a role model for many, and she would love them back to life. Amanda will be a shining light and lead people into righteousness, and many young ones would be added and there is a season of enlargement.
In February 2023 Brother Sadhu came to The Refinery and prophesied, that the church is stuck in tradition and that it is no longer business as usual!
And that 99% of church content is going to end up in the outer court, because the price hasn’t been paid.
The Lord Jesus standing beside me now, “It is my desire, my wish for these people to move from the outer court and meet me in the most holy place. My dear son Gary I have prepared a way for you a path of righteousness for you which your eyes have not seen before neither has it entered into your imagination but that which you have prayed seeking to know me seeking to know my glory and seeking to have a deeper inner court experience with me, I will answer if you be willing to put away all that which hinders you and take us my cross and follow to me, then I will cause you to be fruitful, cause your wife to be fruitful, and your children to be fruitful, I will cause this church to be a fruitful wine, a fruitful bowl where it will bring forth fruits, and as the Lord spoke these words I see my dear brother Pastor Gary this church like a tree and there are many different kinds of fruits, different colour fruits, and I see you standing at the bottom of this tree, and this tree looks very gigantic and you are looking at this tree and you are wondering within you how did I grow this tree? and I see the Lord Jesus standing beside the tree, and He is much taller than the tree, it is He who give the fruit for the tree to grow And you think in your heart how can I do this great work? For who am I? I’m small, I’m not well experienced, I do not have encounters, Now I see the Lord Jesus become of normal height like you, and He comes to you takes your right hand, by His left hand and He says If you will entrust yourself to be led completely by me, I will surely cause you to do greater works than this, but my son, the path that I will lead you will not be as smooth as non confrontational, as non violent like the path you have come before, if you be willing I will lead you to eat the good of the land, I will surely bring my sheep and my lamb those who are seeking for greener pasture, those who are seeking for living waters from moving streams, I will bring them to you and you may lead them to these places to eat and become fat. Let not your heart become worrisome about your family, I will surely bless them and care for them and look after them. Thank you wonderful Lord Jesus.
He then went on to prophesy over Pastor Rommel, before speaking to the church and coming back to me.
Dear Pastor Gary. I see the Lord Jesus Christ standing before you now. And He says to you, remember my son, all that was spoken to you and your congregation be careful to observe to do them for as you have prayed, as you have asked me I have sent to speak to you. Be diligent to do the works that have been assigned to you today Thank you wonderful Father, Lord I pray make them Lord, each and every one of them instruments of righteousness instruments of peace, Thank you my Father, and I pray your glory will go with each and every one of them and perfect them. Make them blameless Lord, till the day you come again in glory, and even then they will be perfected to stand blameless before you in that day, in the name of the Lord Jesus Amen.
Prophesies like this began being spoken in February 2016 from various ministers all around the world.
This month, in fact on the 27th of July, The Refinery is 7 years old. In the Bible, the number seven generally represents perfection, completion, or fullness. It signifies a state of wholeness and divine order, often associated with God’s creation and covenants.
Creation:
God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh, establishing the concept of a week with a day of rest and completion.Covenants:
The number seven appears in relation to covenants, signifying their completeness and divine authority.Spiritual Significance:
Seven is linked to the Holy Spirit and its gifts, as well as spiritual completeness.Symbolic Use:
The number seven is frequently used to denote completeness, perfection, or a full cycle, like the seven churches in Revelation.Examples:
The seven days of creation.
The seven spirits of God
Revelation 1:4,
Greeting the Seven Churches
4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:
Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,
Revelation 3:1
The Dead Church
3 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,
‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.
Revelation 4:5
5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
Revelation 5:6
6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
The seven churches of Asia (Revelation 1-3).
The seven seals, trumpets, and bowls in Revelation (describing God’s judgments).
We made it.
We made it to seven years as a church when most new independent churches are lucky to make a year.
So for the past 7 years, our family has had the incredible privilege of building God’s kingdom in this City, region, and nation and Pastoring this amazing church side by side of the most humble godly people we’ve ever known.
We planted this church because of a word from God.
And it took us a while, we resisted Him, but in the end we know wrestling with God isn’t a good idea because He wins.
We longed for a Bible teaching church in our community, and we said yes when God said you be the change you want to see.
We didn’t have much, and made the move, and we started with just the 2 of us.
35 people said they were with us, but on day one there was just us, myself and Amanda.
We didn’t do this for a platform, it wasn’t for success, and it wasn’t for recognition.
You don’t plant a church for that.
We moved because we were convinced that God was calling us.
And what God has done over the past seven years has been nothing short of miraculous.
Honestly, from bottom of my heart, The Refinery, has been like a child, growing up, sometimes difficult and argumentative, but none the less loved.
We never could have dreamed all that we would see God do right before and very eyes .
And before Amanda and I ever said yes to full time ministry, we said yes to Jesus. And gave up everything material we had, our businesses, our big home, our weekends, our lives, everything!
We actually believe what the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 14:8, For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
So for 7 years, we’ve taught that our lives are not our own, but we’ve been bought with the price.
And this beautiful church, Refinery Life church and this is time we have invested has never belonged to us, it’s always been the Lord’s.
And by His grace, we’ve been able to steward it, to lay a foundation for future generations to build upon.
And now we believe the Lord is asking us to take on a new direction in His kingdom.
We really want you to know we did not go searching for it.
We have never looked to be anywhere but right here.
But just like 7 years ago, it started with a phone call and we had had conversations like this before, but this time it was different.
We sensed the hand of God in this.
And from the beginning, we submitted this process to our Elders, who are our spiritual covering here.
We sought their prayer, council, and wisdom along with other mentors and spiritual advisors in our lives.
We also invited our International peers into this process and these are extraordinary leaders.
All these people carry so much of the vision and the weight of this house, and we deeply value their walk with Jesus and their wisdom .
Opportunities arise all the time for us.
However, we couldn’t move forward without a clear word from the Lord.
This wasn’t a decision, we could make on good intentions or emotions.
We had to hear his voice.
And all I can say is with all sincerity in our hearts, God has without a doubt spoken to us.
And he has indeed changed our assignment in the next season of our lives and ministry.
So we’re announcing today that we have accepted the new assignment to move to Japan for a season for the The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
This was not an easy decision by any means.
It affects you, it affects people.
We love you all dearly.
It affects our children.
But we were confident, confident that God has spoken to us.
We know this brings up a lot of emotions and questions.
We’ve felt them too.
This is very tender.
It’s weighty, and it’s very sacred.
It feels like a lot, but it reminds us of when we started The Refinery.
In one sense, we are in the role of birth parents now who are placing what we affectionately call our first child, this church into the hands of new parents.
And we are adopting a new family in Asia.
We know that God does not hurt one child in order to bless another.
So the fact that He’s calling us to a new assignment, means that who He has next for Refinery Life Church is what this church family needs to continue into the future.
The best Days of Refinery Life Church are still ahead.
We are confident that God is not only in this moment, but has been and continues to orchestrate every single step, every detail of this transition.
We are confident in the couple whom we believe is called to The Refinery into the next season.
And we are excited to be announcing that Pastor Rommel and Pastora Grace Dangawen will be the Senior Pastors, and we will also be commissioning Auntie Patti as an elder of the Refinery today. And of course Pastor Nick and Pastor Sue will continue to pastor the church.
God is putting new leadership in place here at The Refinery.
Myself and Amanda will still be leading Prophetic Intercessors For Australia, and have also accepted an Apostolic International ministers role role within Christ the Living Stone Fellowship, Bishop Daniel Balais, Ministry.
And we’re also confident in what Paul wrote in Philippians 1:6, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
I’m gonna pause and say, Gary and Amanda didn’t begin the good work.
It was God who began the good work.
Paul goes on to say, he will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
We do want you to know that we’re not going anywhere just yet.
In fact, I will be travelling backwards and forwards still but Amanda will be here next Sunday.
And we are going to be making time to be together as a church.
Before I close, this may be the most important message we ever preached to you, not just with our words, but with our lives.
We love you dearly, we’re thankful for you.
We really do believe with all of our hearts the story that God is writing as it finished it’s only just beginning.
He’s amazing and our job is to do all we, and you can do.
Until next time
Stay in the Blessings
I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word.
When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer.
Theres nothing thats too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
You’re important to God, and you’re important to us at The Refinery.
When it comes to prayer, we believe that God wants to meet your needs and reveal His promises to you.
So whatever you’re concerned about and need prayer for we want to be here for you! Or even if you just want to say Hi, you can contact us at www.refinerylife.org
