Prayer
Father, Your generous provisions for our lives are more than enough to assure us that Your work is the most important work on this earth.
Help us to be so filled with understanding and appreciation of Your work that we will use Your gifts to work with You in Your kingdom on this earth.
May our Money serve You as we commit ourselves afresh to the working of your will.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.

Romans 15:23-25, 29-33 NKJV
Romans 15:23-25 NKJV
23 But now no longer having a place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come to you,
24 whenever I journey to Spain, [a]I shall come to you. For I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may enjoy your company for a while.
25 But now I am going to Jerusalem to [b]minister to the saints.
Romans 15:29-33 NKJV
29 But I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing [a]of the gospel of Christ.
30 Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me,
31 that I may be delivered from those in Judea who [b]do not believe, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,
32 that I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you.
33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
Introduction
Good morning, precious saints of God! Today, we gather together in His presence to delve into an important message from Romans 15:23-25, 29-33. As we open our Bibles to this passage, let us ask the Holy Spirit to guide and speak through us as we seek to understand what God wants to reveal today!
Exposition:
Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, we see Paul making a passionate plea to the Roman believers regarding the importance of reaching out to those who have not yet heard the Good News. Paul’s heart was filled with compassion for his fellow Jews and Gentiles who were still lost in their sin, desperately needing the salvation that only Jesus can provide!
1. The Desire to Go (Romans 15:23-24): Paul had a deep longing to preach the Gospel to the unreachable parts of the world, the Gentiles who lived in distant regions. He yearned to share the love and salvation of Jesus with them!
2. The Need for Help (Romans 15:30-31): Paul recognized that he could not accomplish this mission alone. He pleaded with the Roman believers to pray for him, asking for God’s strength, guidance, and protection as he traveled throughout the world sharing the Gospel.
3. The Purpose of the Mission (Romans 15:20): Paul understood that his mission was not just to save souls but also to bring unity among all believers, regardless of their cultural or ethnic backgrounds. He desired for all people to come together as one in Christ!
4. The Power of God’s Grace (Romans 15:13): Paul emphasized the power of God’s grace, which is sufficient for us to accomplish anything and everything that we are called to do! In our weakness, we can stand strong through His strength!
Lessons for Us Today:
- A Passionate Heart for the Lost Romans 15:20, And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation: We must cultivate a deep desire within our hearts to share the Gospel with those who have not yet heard about Jesus. Let us pray fervently for a passion that mirrors Paul’s, so we can effectively reach out to those around us!
2. A Dependence on God Romans 15:30-31, Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me, that I may be delivered from those in Judea who [a]do not believe, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints:
Just as Paul relied on the prayers of the Roman believers, let us recognize our need for God’s strength in every area of our lives. Let us humble ourselves before Him and pray for His guidance and protection in all that we do!
3. A Unity in Christ Romans 15:20, And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation:
We are called to bridge cultural and ethnic gaps through the love of Jesus. Let us work towards unity in our churches, communities, and families as we reflect the heart of God!
4. The Power of God’s Grace Romans 15:13, Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit:
When we face obstacles or challenges, let us remember that the power of God’s grace is sufficient for us to overcome anything! We can stand strong in our weakness through His strength!
Conclusion.
Precious saints of God, let us take these lessons to heart today and pour out our hearts to the world as Paul did. Let us pray fervently for a passion for the lost, depend on God’s strength, strive towards unity in Christ, and stand strong in His grace! May the fire of the Holy Spirit fall upon us, empowering us to fulfill God’s calling for our lives!
Prayer: Lord Jesus, ignite a fire within our hearts today as we seek to share Your love with those who have not yet heard. Empower us through Your Holy Spirit, and guide us in all that we do. Strengthen us through Your grace, and help us to bridge cultural and ethnic gaps as we reflect Your heart of unity. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Until next time
