Matthew 7:1-6 and Luke 6:37-42 (NKJV)
Do Not Judge.
1 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
6 “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.
It is time to Question our own judgement, specifically the way we think.
We must not fall into presumption thoughts by the way we see things.
Some people are such narrow minded, that the truth they are searching for is a false truth and not the actual truth from heaven and their judgement has no Godly discernment.
Remember;
Psalms 34:7 (NKJV)
7 The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.
If someone is judging me by their own assessment, and does not know the whole background of the situation, then the same measure they judge me, it will be measured back to them.
No work can stand firm unless it is built in the will of God.
We cannot choose were we begin in life but certainly we can choose where we end.
It is time to review our pre-conceived ideas.
Many, when they cannot understand the plans of the Lord refuse to obey and demand results with a question.
Often their comments end up with a question, Can you be more reasonable or more logical or more specific?
Judging by outcomes means evaluating a decision based on its results rather than the quality of the decision-making process at that time.
This is an error known as bias and refers to the tendency to judge a decision based on its outcome rather than basing it on an assessment of the quality decision at the time it was made.
This bias can lead to accusations to someone before God which is solely a distorted risk assessment, rewarding recklessness, and penalising prudence, and making it harder to learn from mistakes.
God is not frightening any of us but is positioning us for a purpose action with clarity and power.
Our ability to change to do what is right is dependent on how much do we really love God.
Can we honestly say we are the Bride of Christ, then declare that we love Him,
And yet refuse to obey Him. No.
In a marriage can a one sided love sustain a marriage in the long run? No.
Therefore we need to be on the side of God to use His discernment when judging situations. That means we need the Holy Spirit to guide us in our decisions.
No longer being affected by our judgment with presumption thoughts.
My dear brothers & sisters,
Money, brings status and status brings power which are the weapons of the enemy. If this is our desire, then we have compromised our Christian walk.
This is what the Pharisee and Sadducee desired the most.
When Jesus appeared on the scene, they could not accept the fact that their judgment was compromised by their preconceived ideas.
There is the principle of responsibility which not only includes our actions but also our thoughts.
This involves : A good and pure conscience.
What is a good Conscience?
Paul warned Timothy that he sent him out to battle, armed with only two things:
His faith and a good conscience.
1 Timothy 1:18-19 (NKJV)
Fight the Good Fight
18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, 19 having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck,
If we reject these two things in our judgment we will experience shipwreck.
A good conscience is a healthy conscience. It is one that is cleared of offences toward God and towards man.
It gives boldness and confidence in the Christian Life and it is the one thing what will keep us safe while going during the storms of persecution that is coming.
Acts 23:1 (NKJV)
1 Then Paul, looking earnestly at the council, said, “Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.”
By this scripture Paul testified that he lived in all good conscience before God.
1 Timothy 1:5-7 (NKJV)
5 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, 6 from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, 7 desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm.
By this scripture Paul told Timothy what the goal of a Christian walk is.
It was not only Paul that spoke about this but also Peter.
1 Peter 3:15-17 (NKJV)
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. 17 For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
The word good in Greek means a strong, healthy conscience. It can be compared to a good ground which has been properly cultivated, with stones and weeds removed, so it can produce a good fruit at harvest time.
The goal of a good conscience is to get rid of any offence.
Acts 24:16 (NKJV)
16 This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offence toward God and men.
It means having nothing for any one to strike against. It means a smooth road or not leading others into sin by our judgement or mode of life.
What is a pure Conscience?
2 Timothy 1:3 (NKJV)
Timothy’s Faith and Heritage
3 I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day,
Paul testified that he served God with a pure conscience.
Its primary definition isn’t”to be cleared or purged, free from any mixture which corrupts or defies the mind.”
A pure conscience is possible only if we have our hearts cleansed by the blood of the LAMB.
Any works that we could do towards God, would not gain for us a pure conscience. As it says in.
Hebrews 9:14 (NKJV)
14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
A good and pure conscience involves:
Every thought – 2 Corinthians 10:5 (NKJV) 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
Every word – (NKJV) Matthew 12:36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Every Deed – 2 Corinthians 5:10 (NKJV)10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
Every Attitude – Proverbs 6:13-14 (NKJV) 13 He winks with his eyes,He shuffles his feet,He points with his fingers;14 Perversity is in his heart,He devises evil continually,He sows discord.
Every Motive – Jeremiah 17:9-10 (NKJV)9 “The heart is deceitful above all things,And desperately wicked;Who can know it?10 I, the LORD, search the heart,I test the mind,Even to give every man according to his ways,According to the fruit of his doings.
Luke 6:37-38 (NKJV)
Do Not Judge
(Matt. 7:1–5)
37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
Romans 2:1-2 (NKJV)
God’s Righteous Judgment
1 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. 2 But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things.
My dear brothers & sisters
Let all examine the way we conduct ourselves in deciding situations.
I also have fallen into this trap by my blindness to see the real truth; what is the real reason behind an action.
I leave you with this scripture.
Philippians 2:12-13 (NKJV)
Light Bearers
12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
God bless….. Ps Jose Roco
