CONTENDING FOR THE NATIONS

A Biblical Call to Prayer, Spiritual Warfare, Revival and the Destiny of Nations

By Reverend Gary Hoban

The nations are facing a time of profound spiritual, political and cultural change. Yet the calling of the Church remains unchanged: to pray, proclaim the Gospel, stand firm in the truth of God’s Word and contend for His purposes among the nations.

Contending for the Nations is a biblical call to renewed prayer, spiritual discernment, intercession and revival.

Drawing upon Scripture, Pentecostal faith and international ministry experience, Reverend Gary Hoban challenges believers to recognise the spiritual responsibility entrusted to the Church in this generation.

This book explores the relationship between prayer, spiritual warfare, revival and the destiny of nations. It calls Christians beyond passive observation into purposeful intercession, faithful obedience and Spirit-led engagement with the world around them.

With particular attention to Southeast Asia and the Pacific, the message extends to believers everywhere who recognise the urgent need for spiritual awakening.

Inside this book, readers will explore:

• The biblical foundations of prayer and intercession.
• Understanding spiritual warfare through Scripture.
• The importance of personal and corporate revival.
• Establishing a consistent life of prayer.
• Standing in the gap for communities and nations.
• Spiritual discernment and the responsibility of the Church.
• The relationship between prayer, evangelism and missionary engagement.
• Contending for God’s purposes across Southeast Asia, the Pacific and beyond.

A call to prayer. A call to revival. A call to the nations.

This book is written for pastors, intercessors, ministry leaders, prayer groups and believers who desire to deepen their understanding of biblical intercession and participate in God’s purposes for the nations.
